Meet the SpaceX Crew-11 Astronauts Launching to the ISS on July 31

The crew of NASA's SpaceX Crew-11 mission is training for their upcoming trip to the International Space Station at SpaceX facilities in Florida. The four-person crew is set to lift off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on July 31 aboard the Crew Dragon Endeavour spacecraft atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. This will be Endeavour's sixth space launch, making it SpaceX's most-flown Crew Dragon.

Two of the crew members, NASA astronaut Zena Cardman and Roscosmos' Oleg Platonov, will be flying for the first time. The other two, NASA's Mike Fincke and JAXA's Kimiya Yui, have previous spaceflight experience. Crew-11 marks the 11th operational astronaut mission that SpaceX has launched to the ISS for NASA.

If all goes as planned, Crew-11 will dock at the ISS on August 2 and spend six months conducting experiments and operations before returning to Earth.
