Man Sentenced to Jail and Caning for Distributing Child Sexual Abuse Content

A man in Singapore was sentenced to three years and one month in jail, along with four strokes of the cane, for possessing and distributing child sexual abuse content. Danial Abdul Rahman, 31, pleaded guilty to possessing 285 videos depicting child sexual abuse. Most videos showed children engaged in sexual activity, with some depicting victims of torture. The police seized his devices and found the incriminating videos containing child abuse content.

The prosecution sought a jail term of 37 to 39 months for Danial, along with six strokes of the cane, highlighting the severity of his actions. The court considered his conduct reprehensible and sentenced him accordingly.
