MI6's New Chief Distanced from Nazi Grandfather
Blaise Metreweli is set to become the first female head of MI6, with the spy agency clarifying that she had no knowledge of her Nazi grandfather. Recent reports revealed her grandfather's dark past as a Nazi spy, known as 'the butcher'. Despite her complex heritage, MI6 emphasizes her dedication to preventing conflict and safeguarding the British public from modern threats.

Blaise Metreweli will take over from Sir Richard Moore as the new head of MI6, becoming the agency's first female 'C'. However, the agency has distanced her from her grandfather, Constantine Dobrowolski, who was a Nazi spy known as 'the butcher'. The Foreign Office clarified that Ms Metreweli had no knowledge of her grandfather.
The Daily Mail uncovered documents showing Mr Dobrowolski's involvement in Nazi activities, including looting bodies of Holocaust victims and participating in their extermination. After the war, his wife and son fled to Britain, where the son took his stepfather's name. Ms Metreweli, born in 1977, joined MI6 in 1999 and currently oversees technology and innovation.
She expressed pride in her appointment and her commitment to preventing conflicts and protecting the British public. Ms Metreweli's operational experience includes roles in the Middle East and Europe.
