Investigators have successfully retrieved the data from the black box of the Air India plane that crashed in Ahmedabad on June 12. The memory module was also accessed, according to a government statement.

The London-bound Air India flight crashed into a hostel complex in Ahmedabad shortly after takeoff from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, resulting in the tragic loss of 270 lives, with only one survivor. The black box of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft was recovered from the crash site on June 13.

Following the incident, a high-level panel was formed to investigate the crash causes, with ongoing progress reported by the government. Air India sources mentioned that Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran and Air India CEO Campbell Wilson have been in contact with the victims' families, providing support and assistance beyond announced compensations.

The investigation into the crash is advancing smoothly, with the airline's management engaging with employee unions and regulatory bodies to ensure operational safety and compliance. Enhanced surveillance of Air India's Boeing 787 fleet has been ordered by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in the wake of the tragedy.
