The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv has recommended lowering the alert level in Israel from 3 to 2 due to the normalization of activities in the country following the ceasefire between Iran and Israel. The Department of Foreign Affairs had raised Alert Level 3 in the Middle East during the conflict, allowing voluntary repatriation for Filipinos in the region. The Israeli government announced a return to full activity status after the ceasefire with Iran, as declared by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Home Front Command. The recommendation to lower the alert level came from the Philippine Ambassador to Israel, Aileen Mendiola-Rau.
There is no similar recommendation for Tehran, which will remain under alert level 3. The embassy will resume consular services next week, following the lifting of movement and gathering restrictions by the IDF. Filipinos in Israel are advised to remain alert and follow safety guidelines. Consular services will reopen on Monday, June 30, to assist those affected by the recent conflict.
