The second free update for Monster Hunter: Wilds is set to release on June 30, featuring the long-awaited return of Lagiacrus from Monster Hunter Tri. The update includes new hunts, features, and a seasonal event, all available for free to existing game owners.

The second free title update for Monster Hunter: Wilds is set to release on June 30, as announced during Capcom Spotlight stream. The update will introduce two new hunts: Seregios from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and the long-awaited Lagiacrus from Monster Hunter Tri. Lagiacrus is known for its agility underwater and rivalry with Rathalos. While most of the fight won't be underwater, there will be some underwater elements.
Along with the new monsters, the update will bring layered weapons, new photo mode settings, handler swaps, a collaboration gesture with a Fender guitar, a free gesture set, paid cosmetic items, and other rewards. A seasonal event titled Festival of Accord: Flamefete will start on July 23, offering limited-time equipment and perks. On July 30, a new Arch-tempered monster, Arch-tempered Uth Duna, will be introduced with a challenge quest and equipment rewards.
