The 14-year-old opener smashed five sixes and three fours, setting the tone for India's run chase. Partnering with captain Ayush Mhatre, they added 71 runs in just 7.3 overs. Suryavanshi's innings ended two short of a half-century when he was caught. Earlier, England U19 were bowled out for 174, with India's bowlers dominating proceedings. Kanishk Chouhan led with figures of 3 for 20. Suryavanshi had expressed his excitement for the tour, aiming to win a trophy.
