KABANKALAN CITY, Negros Occidental – Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri stated that the Veteran Bloc is backing Sen. Tito Sotto for Senate President. The veteran bloc includes Zubiri, returning Senators Panfilo Lacson and Sotto, and Loren Legarda.
During his visit to Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday, July 1, Zubiri expressed dissatisfaction with the current Senate leadership and willingness to support other candidates for Senate President. He mentioned that they are initially supporting Sotto, who will run against Senate President Francis Escudero. If Sotto does not succeed, they will be the next minority.
