Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal announced the establishment of a university in Khanewal as part of the PML-N government’s policy to open higher education campuses in every district. The university will offer quality education opportunities to students, especially in underdeveloped areas.
The minister highlighted the success of Narowal University, with over 7,000 students currently enrolled, including more than 5,000 females. He praised the country's economic progress and credited positive policies for avoiding default and improving the economy. Ahsan Iqbal also commended the armed forces for their achievements in Operation Azm-e-Istehkam.
Criticizing the previous PTI government, Ahsan Iqbal pointed out governance failures during crises like the Swat tragedy. He welcomed the recent Supreme Court verdict on reserved seats, stating that it upholds true democratic principles and corrects past judgments favoring the PTI.
The minister emphasized PML-N's commitment to national development, educational expansion, and democratic stability. He promised to address tax reforms and farmers' issues based on suggestions from Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Rana Saleem Hanif. MNA Muhammad Khan Daha expressed gratitude for Ahsan Iqbal's visit to offer condolences.
