Oppo Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro Launching in India Tomorrow: What to Expect

The Oppo Reno 14 5G series is set to launch in India tomorrow, at 12:00PM. The company will likely unveil two phones in the lineup, the Reno 14 5G and the Reno 14 Pro 5G. Both devices made their first appearance in China nearly two months ago, and the Indian launch will bring them to a wider audience with an official unveiling on YouTube and Oppo India’s social media channels. Ahead of the launch, Oppo has already dropped several teasers, and much of the hardware is already known thanks to its China debut. From a revamped design to camera upgrades and AI-focused features, here’s what you can expect.

Oppo Reno 14: Specs

The Oppo Reno 14 5G series is expected to bring several hardware and software upgrades, especially in the areas of performance, camera, and AI features. The standard Reno 14 5G is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, while the Reno 14 Pro 5G could run on the faster Dimensity 8450 SoC. Both models are tipped to offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage based on UFS 3.1.

On the display front, the Reno 14 may sport a 6.59-inch flat OLED screen, whereas the Pro variant might come with a larger 6.83-inch OLED panel. Both displays are expected to support 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. Oppo is also using its own Crystal Shield Glass for added protection and durability.

In terms of cameras, the Reno 14 Pro could pack four 50-megapixel sensors at the back, including a main camera with optical image stabilisation, an ultra-wide, a periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and another 50-megapixel sensor, likely for portraits or depth. The regular Reno 14 5G is expected to come with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto unit.

Both phones are tipped to carry a 50-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery life should also be a strong point. The Reno 14 5G is tipped to pack a 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging support. The Reno 14 Pro is expected to feature a slightly larger 6,200mAh battery, along with support for 50W wireless fast charging through Oppo’s AIRVOOC system.

Oppo Reno 14 series: Expected price in India

Although Oppo has not officially revealed the India pricing for the Reno 14 series, its China launch gives a reasonable estimate. The Reno 14 5G starts at CNY 2,799 in China, which converts to roughly Rs 33,200. The Pro variant starts at CNY 3,499, which is around Rs 41,500.

Considering that the Reno 13 series was priced at Rs 39,999 for the base model and Rs 49,999 for the Pro, Oppo is unlikely to go below this range. It's possible that the company may retain similar pricing or introduce a slight hike, depending on how the Indian market is positioned.
