Maniishapriet, a physiotherapy student, was found dead in her condominium unit in Selangor with injuries on her body. Three suspects, aged between 19 and 20, have been arrested.
The victim was staying at Mutiara Ville, a shared unit provided by the university, where she was found unconscious and later pronounced dead. The university has faced scrutiny over student safety and has since enhanced security measures at off-campus accommodations.
