Three arrested for drug offences after police chase and car crash in Jalan Besar
Three individuals in their 20s were apprehended by the police after a car chase that ended in a collision with a lorry. Controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were discovered in the vehicle. The suspects are now under investigation by the Central Narcotics Bureau.

Three individuals in their 20s were arrested on June 29 after a police chase that ended in a car crash in Jalan Besar. The police discovered suspected controlled drugs and drug utensils in the car.
According to the police, officers on patrol along Syed Alwi Road towards Jalan Besar noticed a car parked irregularly at around 5.45am. The driver, a 25-year-old man, attempted to flee but was apprehended after a pursuit. The man, wanted for traffic offenses, was conscious when taken to the hospital and subsequently arrested for drug-related offenses.
During the arrest, a 25-year-old female passenger drove the car away but was later found by the police on Syed Alwi Road. The car attempted to escape but collided with a lorry. Substances believed to be controlled drugs and drug utensils were found in the vehicle.
Two women, including the female passenger and another 23-year-old female, were arrested for suspected drug-related offenses. The case has been referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau, and investigations are ongoing.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to the accident near Syed Alwi Road at 7.50am on June 29, with one person taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
