PML-N Leader Questions Trump's Nobel Peace Prize Eligibility

PML-N leader Lt Gen (Retd) Abdul Qayyum has questioned US President Donald Trump’s eligibility for the Nobel Peace Prize in light of his administration’s actions. In an interview, Gen Qayyum criticized the recent US attack on Iran as a breach of international law, damaging America's global credibility. He highlighted Israel's objectives in the attack, aiming to prolong Netanyahu's rule, involve the US in the war, and dominate neighbouring Arab countries.

Gen Qayyum expressed concern over the ineffectiveness of global institutions like the United Nations and the International Court of Justice. He emphasized that countries violating international laws may face diplomatic isolation, while powers like China and Russia could strengthen their global standing.

He mentioned regions like Kashmir, Palestine, Ukraine, Taiwan, and the South China Sea as nuclear hotspots with unresolved conflicts. Gen Qayyum praised Pakistan's strategic position in the region and its contributions to UN peacekeeping missions. He denied Pakistan's involvement in the Iran attack and reaffirmed Pakistan's support for Iran in the face of war imposed by Israel.
