Emma Raducanu calls for improvement in electronic line calling at Wimbledon

Emma Raducanu has expressed her disappointment with the electronic line calling system at Wimbledon following her defeat against Aryna Sabalenka. The fully automated system, which replaced human line judges for the first time at this year's Championships, has received criticism from both Raducanu and Jack Draper, another British player.

Raducanu specifically mentioned a call during her match against Sabalenka that she believed was incorrect. She stated, 'That call was for sure out. It's kind of disappointing that the calls can be so wrong, but for the most part they've been OK. Hopefully they can fix that.'

The use of electronic line calling has become common in tennis, with most ATP Tour events and many WTA tournaments adopting the technology. However, the French Open has not yet implemented such a system.

Draper also raised concerns about the accuracy of the system, noting discrepancies in the marks shown on the court. He questioned the system's reliability, stating, 'I don't think it's 100 per cent accurate.'

Wimbledon organisers have not yet responded to the criticism regarding the electronic line calling system.
