Bharti Airtel has launched a new prepaid plan priced at Rs 189, offering unlimited voice calling and additional benefits. The plan is already available for recharge on Airtel's website and app, targeting users seeking a budget-friendly option under Rs 200 for short-term validity.

The Rs 189 plan includes 21 days of service validity, unlimited voice calls to all networks, 1GB of mobile data, and 300 SMS. It is ideal for users who prioritize calling and occasional messaging over heavy data usage.

This move by Airtel aims to increase its average revenue per user (ARPU) and retain low-spending customers. The plan caters to secondary SIM users or light smartphone users in semi-urban or rural areas.

Users can compare this plan with offerings from competitors like Reliance Jio in the same price range. Airtel now provides two options under Rs 200 - the new Rs 189 plan and the existing Rs 199 plan with 28-day validity.
