United Arab Emirates clarifies no lifetime Golden Visa for specific nationalities, advises verification of procedures
The UAE has debunked rumors about offering lifetime Golden Visas to certain nationalities. It urges all interested individuals to verify information through official channels to avoid misinformation.

The United Arab Emirates has denied rumours regarding the issuance of ‘Golden Visas’ for Indians. In an official statement on Wednesday, the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has refuted recent claims circulating in media reports and online platforms that suggest the country is offering lifetime Golden Visas to select nationalities.
The ICP further said that the Golden Visa programme operates under well-defined regulations, laws, and ministerial decisions. It emphasised that all legitimate applications are processed solely through authorised UAE government channels, and no internal or external consultancy agencies are permitted to handle or represent applicants in the process.
The clarification comes in response to misleading reports, particularly from a consultancy firm based overseas, alleging that lifetime visas can be secured under simplified terms via non-government entities. The ICP categorically stated these claims are baseless and made without any coordination with UAE authorities.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and applicant safety, the ICP warned of strict legal action against those spreading false information to exploit individuals aspiring to live and work in the UAE. The authority also cautioned people against paying fees or sharing personal documents with unverified parties.
The ICP urged the public to rely only on official sources—such as the Authority’s website or 24/7 call centre (600522222)—to verify the authenticity of any visa-related information.
