Red Bull Racing F1 Team Parts Ways with Christian Horner
After a successful two-decade tenure, Christian Horner has been replaced as team principal by Laurent Mekies at Red Bull Racing. Horner oversaw eight Formula One Drivers’ World Championships during his time with the team.

Red Bull have sacked team principal Christian Horner and appointed Laurent Mekies as his replacement. Horner, who has been with the team since 2005, led Red Bull to eight Formula One Drivers’ World Championships. Mekies, coming from Racing Bulls, will take over as CEO of Red Bull Racing. Alan Permane will be promoted to team principal at Racing Bulls.
This decision comes as Red Bull is currently in fourth place in the constructors’ standings, trailing the leaders by 288 points. Max Verstappen, the team’s champion driver, is in third place in the drivers’ championship, 69 points behind the leader.
Last year, Horner faced allegations of misconduct, which he denied and was cleared of after an investigation. Mekies expressed excitement about the future of the team, while Permane is set to continue the team’s success.
