Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian to visit the ISS, was recently seen aboard the space station as it passed over India. Shukla, an Indian Air Force Group Captain, is conducting experiments for ISRO during the Axiom-4 mission.

Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla is currently aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Recently, the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory in Tamil Nadu captured the ISS flying over Indian skies. Shukla, the first Indian on the ISS, is conducting experiments for ISRO's Axiom-4 mission. He is an Indian Air Force Group Captain and has spent 212 days on the ISS.

The Kodaikanal Solar Observatory, known for studying the Sun, observed the ISS passing over India. The ISS orbits 400 kilometers above Earth at 28,000 kilometers per hour, visible as a bright dot in the sky.

The Axiom-4 mission crew, including Shukla, is finishing their stay on the ISS with scientific projects and outreach efforts. Commander Peggy Whitson, Pilot Shubhanshu Shukla, and Mission Specialists Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski and Tibor Kapu are conducting research for space travel and Earth benefits.
