KARACHI: As India accuses Pakistan of sponsoring terrorism, two Pakistani figures respond, asserting that Pakistan is not reckless like India and criticizing New Delhi for lying about the Pahalgam attack.
In interviews, former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and ISPR chief addressed Indian claims. Bhutto-Zardari offered cooperation against the group behind the Pahalgam attack if India reciprocated on outlawed groups. He highlighted the lack of evidence linking Pakistan to the attack.
Thapar mentioned UN's failure to proscribe The Resistance Front due to China's resistance. Bhutto-Zardari expressed readiness to cooperate against the group but noted India's hindrance in proscribing BLA and Majeed Brigade.
Bhutto-Zardari also discussed extradition of individuals of concern, like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar, to India for trial. He emphasized the need for India's cooperation in legal proceedings.
ISPR Director General accused Indian NSA Ajit Doval of orchestrating terrorism in Pakistan and the region. He alleged India's support to terrorist groups within Pakistan and highlighted the role of Doval in sustaining terrorism.
The ISPR chief emphasized India's strategy to keep Pakistan engaged in terrorism to maintain power differentials. He cited confessions from captured terrorist commanders regarding Indian support.
