Pakistan Denies Backing Terrorists, Bilawal Tells India's Karan Thapar

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari rejected India's claims of supporting terrorist groups during an interview with Indian journalist Karan Thapar. He emphasized that Pakistan does not allow any group to conduct terrorist attacks within or outside the country. Bilawal highlighted Pakistan's significant losses in the war against terrorism, with over 92,000 lives lost and more than 1,200 civilian lives lost in terrorist attacks last year alone.

He shared his personal experience as a victim of terrorism and discussed Pakistan's efforts to combat the menace, including military operations and participation in the FATF process. Bilawal criticized India for rejecting an impartial inquiry offer after the Pahalgam attack and emphasized Pakistan's willingness to cooperate in investigations.

Pakistan and India recently engaged in a military confrontation following the Pahalgam attack, but eventually agreed to a ceasefire after four days of intense fighting. Pakistan's armed forces launched a retaliatory military action targeting Indian military sites. Despite differing claims on the ceasefire's cause, Pakistan acknowledged US President Trump's role in defusing tensions and recommended him for the Nobel Peace Prize.
