New Safra Bayshore Clubhouse to Open in 2030 Near TEL's Bedok South Station

Senior Minister of State for Defence Zaqy Mohamad announced that the new Safra Bayshore clubhouse will replace the existing Tampines facility. The clubhouse is targeted to open in 2030, next to the Thomson-East Coast Line’s Bedok South MRT station. The new clubhouse will be Safra’s largest, offering modern and affordable facilities over a gross floor area of at least 30,000 sq m.

The Tampines clubhouse, Safra’s oldest, will be replaced by Safra Bayshore to provide activities for servicemen and their families. Plans for the clubhouse were announced in March, and a committee has been formed to develop the club with a focus on sustainability and communal spaces.

The new clubhouse aims to better serve servicemen and their families, providing more amenities and services. The location will allow convenient access through public transport, benefiting those living in the east of Singapore.

Various initiatives have been launched to appreciate NSmen, including deals and discounts, giveaways, video competitions, short films, and art jams. Mr. Zaqy expressed the importance of recognizing the sacrifices and commitment of national servicemen.

Mr. Zaqy will hand over the Safra presidency to Minister of State for Defence Desmond Choo in July, with confidence in Safra’s continued efforts to appreciate national servicemen.
