Netflix has given fans a sneak peek of Squid Game Season 3 by revealing the first 6 minutes of the show. Player 456, portrayed by Lee Jung-jae, is shown to be alive and facing new challenges. The season promises higher stakes and intense gameplay. Get ready for the premiere on June 27!

Ahead of the highly anticipated release of Squid Game Season 3, Netflix has released the first 6 minutes of the show. The surviving Squid Game contestants are surprised to see Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), aka Player 456, revealed as alive. Lee Jung-jae plays player 456 in Squid Game.
Player 456 is reborn
The video shared by Netflix Tudum shows the rebirth of Player 456 as he rises from a coffin presented as a gift. He had challenged the Front Man after losing a close friend last season. He wakes up distressed, begging the guards to kill him. Meanwhile, a squad searches for an island amid mysterious disappearances.
What the makers said
Squid Game creator and director Hwang Dong-hyuk explains that sending Gi-hun back to the game instead of killing him is a strategic move by the Front Man. The Front Man wants Gi-hun to understand the consequences of his mistakes and lose faith in humanity and himself. Actor Lee Jung-jae describes this moment as Gi-hun's rebirth, where he must return to the competition, play the game, and make choices again.
Season 3 marks the final installment of Squid Game, with higher stakes than before. The first season was a hit on Netflix, winning six Primetime Emmy Awards. Season 3 premieres on Netflix this Friday, June 27.
