NCR Board Approves P50 Minimum Wage Increase for Workers

At least 1.2 million minimum wage earners in the National Capital Region (NCR) will see an increase in their salaries next month as the regional wage board approved a P50 raise in the daily minimum wage.

On Monday, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced that the NCR Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) issued Wage Order No. 26, which approves a P50 wage hike.

This decision raises the daily minimum wage rate in Metro Manila from P645 to P695 for the non-agriculture sector, and from P608 to P658 for the agriculture sector, service, and retail establishments with 15 or fewer workers, and manufacturing establishments with fewer than ten workers.

The increase will be effective on July 18, 2025.

The National Wages and Productivity Commission stated that the wage hike translates to an additional P1,100 per month for a five-day workweek, and P1,300 for a six-day workweek.

With the new rate, non-agriculture workers will receive a monthly take-home pay of approximately P15,247 to P18,216 for a five-day and six-day workweek, respectively, inclusive of mandatory social welfare benefits like 13th-month pay, service incentive leave, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.

The NCR wage board is the first to issue a new wage order for 2025, according to the DOLE.
