Naval Divers and Red Lions Team Up for Jump of Unity at NDP 2025
Naval divers and Red Lions collaborated for a thrilling Jump of Unity at NDP 2025, showcasing free-fall displays and a combined salute. The event, held at Marina Bay and the Padang, wowed spectators with precision and coordination.

Naval divers and Red Lions joined forces for a combined salute during the Jump of Unity at the National Day Parade (NDP) 2025. The event, showcased at the second National Education Show on July 5, featured naval divers free-falling from a helicopter into Marina Bay and Red Lions gliding into their signature ring formation above the Esplanade. The Jump of Unity will see the two parachute teams landing in separate venues at the NDP for the first time, culminating in a combined salute by the divers in Marina Bay and the Red Lions at the Padang.
Executing the combined salute requires precise coordination between the teams, with communication personnel at both locations ensuring synchronized timing. The naval divers, led by First Warrant Officer Lim Chee Seng, have about six minutes after landing to board a floating platform in Marina Bay for the salute. Both teams have conducted practice jumps and training sessions to prepare for the event, with the Red Lions showcasing jumps in lightweight jumpsuits while the naval divers perform operational jumps carrying heavy gear.
Master Warrant Officer Chew Eng Seng, team lead of the Red Lions, expressed excitement for the event, which marks SG60. The display left spectators, including 11-year-old Ong Rui Heng, in awe at the skill and experience of the parachutists.
