July 5, 2025 – East Hamilton Shooting
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, police responded to reports of a shooting east of Kenilworth Avenue on Barton. The shooting occurred at Barton and Harmony Avenue when a vehicle travelling westbound on Barton was shot at by two suspects on foot. The suspects ran south and the victim drove to a nearby mall to call police. Initial evidence indicates the incident may be targeted. One individual was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
Residents and businesses in the area of Barton Street East, Frederick Avenue, Tragina Avenue North, Britannia Avenue, and Harmony Avenue are asked to check surveillance or dash camera footage for two suspects who may have been seen on foot around the time of the incident.
July 6, 2025 – Flamborough Shooting
At approximately 3:20 a.m. on Sunday, July 6, police were called to a party at a short-term rental property on Highway 6, near Concession Road 6 West in Flamborough, following reports of a shooting. One person sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital. At this time, police do not have a suspect or vehicle description.
Investigators are asking nearby residents and businesses along Highway 6, Concession Road 6 West, Concession Road 6 East, and Millgrove Sideroad to review any surveillance or dash camera footage for suspicious activity during the early morning hours of July 6.
