Since its release, Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters has topped charts worldwide and received critical acclaim. Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, the animated feature boasts a 96% Rotten Tomatoes score. The soundtrack has also been a hit, reaching No. 1 on various music charts.

The film follows Huntrix, a K-pop girl group who are also demon hunters safeguarding their fans. Rumi, one of the hunters, has a mysterious past involving demon heritage, which remains unexplored. The director hints at more to the story, especially regarding Rumi's background and Celine's aversion to demons.

While a sequel is not confirmed, the creators express interest in further exploring the characters and their world. Kang even considered a live-action adaptation of the film after being inspired by another movie.

For now, fans eagerly await Netflix's decision on a sequel. Kang is delighted by the film's reception and its ability to showcase Korean culture to a global audience.
