Kneecap Added to Electric Picnic Lineup, Set to Perform on Main Stage

Rap trio Kneecap performed at the Glastonbury Festival on Saturday, 28 June, 2025. They have now been added to the lineup of this year's Electric Picnic and will perform on the festival's main stage.

The announcement follows their well-received Glastonbury set, which was not broadcast live by the BBC. Kneecap confirmed the news on social media, and the festival itself also confirmed, stating, 'This is going to be special.'

Electric Picnic is scheduled for 29 to 31 August this year and is set to be the biggest yet, with an increased capacity from 75,000 to 80,000 at Stradbally Estate, Co Laois.

Kneecap used their set at last year's festival to denounce Israeli actions in Gaza.

Tickets for the festival sold out quickly last August, even before all acts were confirmed. Headliners this year include Hozier, Chappell Roan, Sam Fender, Fatboy Slim, Kings Of Leon, and Becky Hill, among others.

At Glastonbury, Kneecap performed at the West Holts stage, drawing a large crowd and prompting event organizers to advise avoiding the area. The BBC did not broadcast their performance live but made an edited version available on the BBC iPlayer. The Guardian and The Independent gave Kneecap a five-star review at Glastonbury.
