JUI-F Leader Criticizes Government's Legitimacy and Threatens Protest

Chief of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman warned the federal government that his party could 'take over Islamabad within a week’s notice' if necessary. He criticized the 2018 and 2024 general elections as fraudulent and manipulated, rejecting the ruling coalition's legitimacy. Emphasizing the importance of public will, he stated that such governments cannot endure.
Rehman emphasized his party's commitment to constitutional supremacy and announced plans for a movement to bring about a 'revolution' in the country. He expressed strong anti-US sentiments, accusing America of hypocrisy and betrayal in its treatment of Muslim nations.
The JUI-F chief also pledged solidarity with Iran against Israel and vowed to defend holy sites. He warned of potential confrontation, stating readiness to declare jihad if necessary. Reiterating his party's opposition to the current political order, he affirmed their determination to stand against the government.
Senior JUI-F leaders, including Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, criticized the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provincial government for alleged corruption at the conference.
