Indian Woman, 24, Disappears in US Shortly After Arriving for Arranged Marriage

An Indian woman, 24, named Simran Simran, has disappeared shortly after arriving in the US for an arranged marriage, as per New Jersey authorities. She was last seen checking her phone and looking around before going missing on Wednesday. Simran arrived in the US from India on June 20 and is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing around 68 kgs, with a tiny scar on her forehead. She was wearing grey sweatpants, a white T-shirt, black flip-flops, and small diamond earrings. Authorities have been unable to reach her relatives in India.

Investigators suspect that Simran may not have come to the US for marriage and might have had other intentions. She does not speak English and has no family in the US. In a separate incident, another Indian woman, Sudiksha Konanki, studying in the US, went missing while on vacation with friends in the Dominican Republic in March.
