Topuria, a former featherweight champ, moved up to the 155-pound division to fight for the vacant title. Despite being smaller in size, he defended well against Oliveira's grappling and displayed his striking power, ultimately delivering a stunning knockout victory.
Oliveira, who lost the lightweight belt in 2022 due to missing weight, showed glimpses of his experience but was unable to withstand Topuria's powerful punches. In the co-main event, Pantoja defended his flyweight crown by submitting Kara-France in the third round.
