Elderly Cork Couple Remembered as Inseparable at Funeral
An elderly couple in their 80s, Michael and Ann O’Sullivan, were found deceased near their home in Glounthaune, Co Cork. They were described as a devoted and loving pair at their joint funeral mass. The couple, known for their deep faith and kindness, touched the lives of many.

A man and a woman in their 80s were found dead near the stairs of their home in Glounthaune, Co Cork. They were remembered at their funeral mass as a 'tremendous couple' who were 'inseparable from each other'. Foul play was ruled out in their deaths. The bodies of Michael (Noel) O'Sullivan and his wife Ann O’Sullivan were found by a relative. Michael worked at the GPO in Cork and Ann was formerly of Irish Steel. Fr Aidan Vaughan, a family friend, led the joint funeral mass at the Sacred Heart Church in Glounthaune. He described the couple as devoted and united in life and death. The couple had a deep faith and were known for their love and kindness towards others. They were laid to rest at St Joseph’s Cemetery in Little Island.
