The conflict involved missiles, drones, and artillery fire, triggered by an April attack in Indian-administered Kashmir. Lt. Gen. Rahul Singh called for upgrades to India’s air defense systems. Pakistan denied involvement in the April attack. Singh mentioned that Pakistan was the 'front face' while China offered support. India’s relationship with China was strained after a 2020 border clash, but tensions eased after a pact in October. India had previously stated that there was no evidence of direct help from China during the conflict. Pakistan officials have denied receiving active support from China. China has supported Pakistan’s economy since 2013. Turkiye also supported Pakistan during the conflict, providing drones and training. Ankara has strong ties with Islamabad. Turkiye’s defense ministry did not respond to requests for comment.
