A stunning mural made from 25,000 bottle caps has been unveiled in a Laois village, bringing joy to locals and visitors alike.

Residents of Clough collected colorful caps for over three years, with the support of the entire community. The artwork, designed by local artist Victoria Dobbyn, showcases local landmarks and wildlife, creating a beautiful display.

People of all ages contributed by donating their bottle caps, which were then sorted by color and carefully glued to the mural with the help of volunteers, including Clough NS students.

The official unveiling took place on Sunday, June 22, at the entrance to the GAA club, with the community expressing gratitude to everyone involved in making the project a success.

This collaborative effort highlights the spirit and pride of Clough village, showcasing the talent and dedication of its residents.
