China Delivery Rider with Degrees from Oxford and Top Universities Inspires with Positive Attitude

A man in China, Ding Yuanzhao, has gained attention for being known as 'the food delivery worker with the highest education level' after earning degrees from prestigious universities such as Oxford.

The story of Ding, aged 39, has sparked discussions on the devaluation of academic qualifications in a tough job market, as reported by the news portal 163.com.

Originally from Fujian province, Ding excelled in China's national university entrance exam in 2004, scoring nearly 700 out of 750 to secure a spot at Tsinghua University.

After completing a bachelor's degree in chemistry, Ding pursued further studies at Peking University, obtaining a master's degree in energy engineering.

He went on to earn a PhD in biology from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and a master's degree in biodiversity from Oxford University in the UK.

Before becoming a food delivery rider, Ding worked on postdoctoral research at the National University of Singapore (NUS) until his contract ended in March last year. Despite efforts to find a suitable job, he faced challenges in securing employment.
