Young Man Fatally Struck in Dublin Hit-and-Run
A man in his 20s tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident on Railway Street in Balbriggan, Co Dublin. The driver fled the scene, prompting an appeal for witnesses by Gardaí.

A man in his 20s has died in a hit-and-run incident in Co Dublin. The pedestrian was struck by a car on Railway Street in Balbriggan, at around 9pm last night. He received emergency treatment at the scene, but was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the car failed to remain at the scene. The road has been closed for a technical examination and local diversions are in place. Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses, particularly anyone with video footage (including dash cam) from the area at the time, to contact Balbriggan Garda Station on 01 666 4500, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
