Beware of Scammers Impersonating NDP 2025 Representatives
The National Day Parade (NDP) 2025 Exco warns the public about scammers posing as NDP representatives and soliciting cash sponsorships and personal information over the phone. The Exco advises not to disclose any personal, business, or sponsorship details if unsure of the caller's identity or credibility.

The National Day Parade (NDP) 2025 executive committee (Exco) has issued a warning against scammers posing as NDP representatives and soliciting cash sponsorships and personal information over the phone. The Exco emphasized that they will never ask for cash sponsorships, donations, or personal details over the phone. If unsure of the caller's identity or credibility, individuals are advised not to disclose any personal, business, or sponsorship information.
In a recorded phone call shared with The Straits Times, a scammer impersonating an NDP 2025 representative solicited a man for a 'small sponsorship' ranging from $300 to $500, claiming it would support the 2025 NDP and future editions. The scammer falsely promised that the money would be tax-exempt and mentioned presenting an award to the man's company, along with inviting him to the parade.
If there are doubts about the authenticity of a call, the public or organizations can verify by contacting [email protected]. Any affected individuals should promptly report such scam calls to the police. The NDP 2025 Exco confirmed that the fraudulent phone call took place in June. The NDP is scheduled to take place on Aug 9 at the Padang and Marina Bay.
