South Korean Couple Wins S$1.8mil Lottery Prize After Wife Dreamed of Actor Byeon Woo Seok

Earlier this month, a married couple from South Korea won the Spito 2000 scratch lottery, bringing home the jackpot sum of two billion Korean won (S$1.8mil). The astonishing thing about the whole story though, was the positive premonition that came to the wife before their big win.

They had reportedly purchased the winning ticket from a lottery retailer in Wonju, Gangwon Province while they were on a date.

According to the man, who regularly buys lottery tickets in small amounts, he initially only thought of getting a Lotto ticket (similar to Singapore's Toto). However, the thought of how his wife enjoyed scratching Spito 2000 tickets came to him, and he decided to purchase a set of those as well.

His wife immediately got to scratching the tickets while she was in the car, waiting for her husband to finish running errands. That was when she realised they had won the two billion KRW first prize.

The woman revealed to her husband that she recently had a dream of actor Byeon Woo Seok that seemed to have foreshadowed their big win. She dreamt that she met Woo Seok at a large event.

\"He called out my wife's name when handing her a prize, and he gave her a gift and a warm hug,\" the man said, adding that the Lovely Runner star had a \"luminous halo\" around him.

Recalling the dream, the woman felt as though Byeon Woo Seok had brought her good fortune.

The man expressed his thanks to the 33-year-old star for bringing luck to his family, revealing that he and his wife would be using their winnings to pay off their loans and buy a house.

The couple's story soon went viral, and while some netizens were tickled by their experience, others began dropping Woo Seok messages on social media, asking that he appear in their dreams as well.

The many requests eventually caught Woo Seok's attention, who then penned this humorous reply on social media: \"Wait for me, I'm coming.\"
