Scattered Rains Expected in Parts of the Philippines Due to Habagat and ITCZ
The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring scattered rain showers to Central and Southern Luzon, while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect parts of Mindanao. Flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas due to moderate to heavy rains.

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers over the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect parts of Mindanao on Thursday, PAGASA reported.
As to the tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) that the state weather bureau is monitoring is located 1,045 kilometers west of extreme Northern Luzon packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour, gustiness of up to 55 kph and moving westward at a speed of 10 kph.
Kalayaan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and it is possible that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Palawan will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and the western section of Southern Luzon is light to moderate and moving in the southwest to southeast direction and slight to moderate coastal waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to west direction and coastal waters that is slight to moderate.
Sunrise will be at 5:29 a.m., sunset at 6:29 p.m.
