OTS Commends Honest Security Screening Officers at NAIA-3

The Office for Transportation Security (OTS) commended two Security Screening Officers (SSOs) at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 for returning valuable items left by passengers bound for Japan on June 24.

SSO Angelus Paliza Jr. found a laptop left unattended on a chair near the security checkpoint. He reported it to his supervisor. A passenger named Abigail Tengco claimed the MacBook, which was returned after verifying ownership. Tengco was headed to Narita, Japan.

SSO Jeen Iar Mariñas found an iPad left on an inspection tray. Following procedures, the device was secured. Mr. Kumon Nobuyuki, a Japanese passenger bound for Osaka, claimed the iPad after verifying ownership.

The OTS highlighted the integrity of its personnel, in line with President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr.'s directive for trustworthy government service.
