Frances Fitzgerald Joins Teneo as Senior Advisor

Former Tánaiste and Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald has joined Teneo as a senior advisor, transitioning from government to the private sector. Teneo is a global CEO advisory firm specializing in corporate PR, lobbying, and financial advisory. Fitzgerald will be part of Teneo Ireland Advisory Board, chaired by Gary McGann and including Brian O’Driscoll.

In her new role, Fitzgerald will advise Teneo clients and help expand the firm’s business in Ireland and Europe. With a political career spanning various ministerial roles and European Parliament membership, she brings extensive experience to Teneo.

Michael O’Keeffe, CEO of Teneo Ireland, highlighted Fitzgerald’s leadership in government and policymaking, emphasizing her value to the advisory team. Fitzgerald expressed her excitement to work with Teneo’s advisory board, leveraging her cabinet experience to guide leaders through future challenges.

Notably, Fitzgerald’s move follows a trend of former Fine Gael government officials transitioning to private sector roles. Enda Kenny, Simon Coveney, and Michael D’Arcy are among those who have made similar moves in recent years.
