AIIMS Department Refutes Claims of Covid Vaccine Link to Sudden Cardiac Deaths

The AIIMS Delhi doctors debunked Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah's statements and confirmed no clear association with sudden cardiac deaths in Hassan district. Dr Karan Madan, Associate Professor, Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, AIIMS Delhi, stated that Covid vaccines were effective in reducing mortality and no link was found between sudden cardiac deaths and vaccines. Biocon's founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw rejected the claims connecting Covid vaccines to heart attack fatalities in Hassan district as 'factually incorrect' and 'misleading'. The Serum Institute of India confirmed the safety of Covid vaccines, citing studies by ICMR and AIIMS that found no connection between vaccination and heart-related deaths.

Karnataka CM had suggested a possible link between recent heart attack deaths in Hassan district and the vaccination program, but the Union health ministry and vaccine manufacturers refuted these claims, stating that vaccines are safe and scientifically validated.
