Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 5: Aamir Khan Film Surpasses ₹123 Crore, Beats Sunny Deol's Jaat

Sitaare Zameen Par, the latest release starring Aamir Khan, has been performing well at the box office since its debut last Friday. The sports comedy-drama has surpassed the ₹100 crore mark globally and has exceeded the collections of Sunny Deol's Jaat. The film showcases Aamir Khan coaching a special basketball team.

As per the latest update on Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par has collected ₹75.15 crore in India within 5 days of release, with gross collections in India reaching ₹90 crore. Additionally, the film has earned ₹33 crore in overseas markets, bringing its total worldwide collection to ₹123 crore. This achievement has propelled Sitaare Zameen Par beyond the lifetime collection of Sunny Deol's Jaat (₹118.36 crore) and is on track to surpass Aamir's previous release, Laal Singh Chadha (₹133.5 crore).

Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna, is a spiritual sequel to the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. Aamir portrays a basketball coach training a team of players with special needs, with Genelia D'souza also starring in the film. The movie, a remake of the Spanish film Campeones, is produced by Aamir Khan Productions and features 10 new actors.

The film has garnered praise from audiences, critics, and industry members, with Javed Akhtar commending its box office success. He expressed delight over Sitaare Zameen Par's performance and congratulated Aamir Khan and the team for their achievement.
