Sean 'Diddy' Combs Won't Testify in Sex Trafficking Trial, Praises Judge

Sean “Diddy” Combs confirmed that he won’t testify at his sex trafficking trial and praised the judge for doing an “excellent job.” The prosecution rested its case after presenting evidence against Combs for over six weeks. The defense also rested without calling any witnesses. Combs’ lawyers argued to dismiss the charges, claiming they weren’t proven. The judge will rule later.

Prosecutors called 34 witnesses to prove sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges, including two ex-girlfriends who testified about coerced sexual encounters. Defense argues the encounters were consensual. Combs, 55, pleaded not guilty and remains in federal custody without bail.

It is common for judges to question defendants about testifying. Combs thanked the judge for his handling of the case and confirmed his decision not to testify after discussing it with his lawyers.

Witnesses included former employees and Combs’ ex-girlfriends. Closing arguments are set for Thursday.
