Saudi Shura Council Members Visit Pakistan to Strengthen Bilateral Ties
A delegation from the Saudi Shura Council visited Pakistan to enhance parliamentary and strategic cooperation between the two countries. Meetings were held with Pakistani officials to discuss strategies for deepening ties and collaboration. Both sides emphasized the importance of mutual respect and trust in their relationship.

A parliamentary delegation from the Saudi Shura Council visited Pakistan to strengthen parliamentary ties and strategic cooperation between the two countries. The delegation, led by retired Major General Dr Abdulrahman bin Sanhat bin Abdullah Al-Harbi, met with Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. They also held meetings with members of the National Assembly and Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani to discuss strategies for enhancing cooperation.
During the visit, a meeting was held between the Executive Committee of the Pakistan–Saudi Arabia Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) and the Saudi–Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Committee. The Saudi delegation emphasized the importance of implementing the 2019 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and proposed holding the next bilateral meeting in Riyadh.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf highlighted the strong ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, focusing on shared faith and mutual respect. He proposed various initiatives to enhance inter-parliamentary collaboration and investment cooperation.
Both sides agreed to activate the 2019 MoU through targeted engagements and practical mechanisms, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and comprehensive bilateral ties.
The Saudi delegation also met with Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, emphasizing the importance of bilateral ties and cooperation. The Senate chairman highlighted the deep-rooted relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, based on shared faith and history.
