Lazaro, a veteran diplomat, replaced Enrique Manalo and was honored with the Order of Sikatuna for her four decades of service to Philippine foreign relations.
Lazaro, who previously served as DFA undersecretary for Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs, brings extensive experience from key foreign assignments across Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific. She takes on the role amidst growing diplomatic challenges in the West Philippine Sea and beyond.
