Bryan Kohberger Agrees to Plead Guilty in Idaho College Murders Case

Bryan Kohberger has agreed to plead guilty to all counts in the killings of four University of Idaho students, sparing him from the death penalty. The plea agreement includes four consecutive life sentences on the murder counts and a 10-year sentence on the burglary count. Kohberger will waive his right to appeal. Sentencing is expected in late July pending his guilty plea at a scheduled hearing. The plea comes just before his trial was set to begin, with prosecutors making a formal offer to Kohberger after discussions with victims' families. The resolution aims to secure justice and spare families from prolonged legal processes. Restitution for victims and families will also be pursued. The quadruple killings in November 2022 shocked the college town of Moscow and led to a nationwide manhunt, ending with Kohberger's arrest in December 2022.
