The ceasefire between Iran and Israel, brokered by US President Donald Trump, remains intact. Both countries have indicated a pause in their air war. US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff expressed optimism about the ongoing talks with Iran, calling them 'promising' and expressing hope for a long-term peace deal.

The ceasefire brokered by US President Donald Trump between Iran and Israel seems to be holding on Wednesday (Jun 25), following both countries indicating a pause in their air war. Each side claimed victory after 12 days of conflict, during which the US conducted airstrikes to support Israel in targeting Iran's uranium-enrichment facilities.
Trump's Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, mentioned on Tuesday that discussions between the US and Iran were showing promise, with hopes for a lasting peace agreement. Witkoff stated in an interview on Fox News' 'The Ingraham Angle' show that talks were underway directly and through intermediaries, expressing confidence in reaching a comprehensive peace deal with Iran.
