Bonnyrigg High School in Sydney's West Evacuated Due to Threatening Email

Students at Bonnyrigg High School in Sydney's west were evacuated following a threatening email received by the school. The evacuation took place around 11.15 am on Wednesday after police were called in response to the email. Parents were advised not to contact their children during the evacuation process. The school resumed normal operations at about 12.50 pm after police gave the all-clear signal.

Chopper footage showed students gathered on the school oval while emergency services vehicles were present outside the campus. Fire and Rescue NSW were called in along with police to assist with a reported issue of dogs on the loose in the area, but no dogs were found, and no injuries were reported. It is unclear if the dogs were connected to the evacuation.

Principal Reece Hooke stated that all students and staff followed the evacuation plan in an orderly manner. Classes resumed after police determined it was safe to do so. The education department confirmed that students and teachers at the school are safe and provided with necessary support.
