A man in his 20s has been charged after a 3D-printed pistol was seized in Dublin. Gardaí arrested a man and seized a firearm in the Inchicore area of the city on Tuesday night. The weapon is described as a .22 calibre pistol, similar to other 3D-printed firearms. During a routine patrol, gardaí stopped a taxi and found one of the passengers wearing a ballistic vest and in possession of a substantial sum of money. A pistol fell from the vest during a search, leading to the man's arrest. He has been charged and is scheduled to appear in court on June 26th. A second man was arrested in a follow-up operation. The firearm will undergo a technical examination. Assistant Commissioner Paul Cleary commended the work of the gardaí involved.
