It’s game on for some of the brightest names in showbiz as the Star Magic All-Star Games make a highly anticipated return this 20 July 2025, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum—and this year’s edition is packed with a dynamic mix of seasoned crowd-pullers and emerging stars ready to rule the court.

The official press conference, held last 23 June at Coffee Project, Wil Tower, was abuzz with energy as a lineup of All-Star players including Dylan Yturralde, Reign Parani, Jas Dudley-Scales, and Argel Saycon shared their excitement and stories behind their upcoming matches. This year’s games are more than just showbiz fluff—it’s a celebration of athleticism, camaraderie, and star power in motion.

Dylan breaks new ground

History is set to be made with the debut of Men’s Volleyball at the All-Star Games, and leading the charge is Dylan Yturralde, the “Astig Volleybae ng Pampanga” and a former UE setter. Fresh from his acting debut in Love at First Spike, Dylan is bringing his court smarts and heart to the forefront.

“I’m nervous but happy,” he admitted. “I used to wish I could just watch the volleyball games here—but now, I’m actually playing.”

On his transition into acting, Dylan recalled the anxiety and self-doubt but found support from his PBB batchmates. “I didn’t want to do it half-heartedly. I wanted to do it right,” he said.

Reign returns stronger

Back for her third Star Magic All-Star Games, Reign Parani brings both grace and grit as she joins Team Lady Setters. A former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and 2023 Binibining Pilipinas 2nd Runner-Up, Reign is also making her lead acting debut in Love at First Spike, opposite Emilio Daez.

“It’s not just physical training,” she said. “It’s also a test of patience and perseverance.”

Reign spoke fondly of Emilio, saying, “He’s hardworking, light-hearted, and easy to work with—super golden retriever energy!”

As for a possible pageant comeback? “I’m 21, still young in the pageant world. But right now, I’m focusing on what I have in front of me—acting and All-Star Games included.”

Jas steps into the spotlight

Making her All-Star Games debut is Jas Dudley-Scales, the ever-optimistic “Ate ng Dumaguete” and PBB Gen 11 alum. Representing Team Lady Setters, Jas is a breath of fresh air with her bright personality and dedication to learning the sport.

“No one starts off great,” she humbly shared. “But everyone’s been kind and supportive. I’m learning every step of the way.”

As fans cheer on the budding ‘ArJas’ loveteam between her and Argel Saycon, Jas responded with warmth: “It’s been comfortable. We’re both Bisaya, and we were friends first. No problem at all.” Argel, likewise, gave his nod of approval.

Argel: Veteran on the court and indie star

Back for his fourth All-Star Games, Argel Saycon is a force to be reckoned with on the basketball court. Known from PBB: Season 8 – Adult Edition, Argel has parlayed his athletic background into a steady acting career. He’s set to appear in the indie film Some Nights I Feel Like Walking, which tackles the lives of street hustlers.

“We shot that in 2023,” Argel said. “It’s a story of youth and survival. We’re excited to show it to the public.”

Argel also gave props to Gerald Anderson, who’s coaching Team Shooting Stars in a much-awaited rematch against Cong TV’s Team Payaman. “We call him ‘Mamba Mentality’ because of his discipline. You’ll respect the way he trains and leads.”
